Overview

Customer activation is a Magento 2.1.x extension which ensures that customers are approved / activated prior to login. This is an important feature addition to websites where newly registered customers should not be given access to information that only logged in users can see. This plugin ensures that a screening process under the control of Magento admin is provided to filter only legitimate profiles. Additionally, the admin can also activate/deactivate customer accounts easily from backend and can send notification emails to the customer on completion of this action. Features Vendor has the ability to choose which customer profiles has to be activated and whenever the admin changes the activation status, the customer gets a notification mail.

Frontend

  1. Restricts the customers from login if their account is awaiting activation or deactivated.
  2. User can also restrict spam users from checkout by disabling guest checkout.

Admin

    1. Activate or Deactivate customer accounts: The vendor can activate or deactivate customer accounts from backend.
    2. Send Notification Mails: The vendor can send notification mails to the customer

whenever the account is activated or deactivated.

  1. Enable / Disable plugin : The vendor can enable or disable the plugin from backend.

How To Install

How to Install?

  1. Unzip the package
  2. Copy the package to app/code/Terrificminds folder in your magento2 root directory
  3. Run the setup upgrade command
    php bin/magento setup:upgrade
  4. Run the di compile command
    php bin/magento setup:di:compile
  5. Run the static content deploy command
    php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

How to Configure?

    1. Login to Admin Dashboard
    2. Navigate to TERRIFICMINDS > Customer Activation
    3. Configure the plugin
      • Module Enable: Use to enable or disable the plugin.
      • Activation Email Template: Use to choose the activation email template
      • Deactivation Email Template: Use to choose the deactivation email template
    4. Click on the Save Config button.

Activation/Deactivation of customers

    1. Login to Admin Dashboard
    2. Navigate to CUSTOMERS > All Customers
    3. Click Account Information
    4. Choose the required action
      • Module Enable: This is used to activate / deactivate customer accounts
      • Notify the customer button : This button is used to send notifications to the customer
    5. Click on the Save Customer button
